Valerian

Valerian essential oil has a highly distinctive scent: rooty, earthy, animalic, woody and deeply vegetal. Obtained from Valeriana officinalis, it is not about immediate charm but depth.

Its powerful aroma evokes damp roots, dark earth and base materials used to give weight to a composition. It suits groundingaccords, dark botanical perfumes and evening synergies.

It can be worked with Vetiver, Patchouli, Cedarwood, Sandalwood, True Lavender, Frankincense or Vanilla, which soften its rooty intensity.
