Wild Styrax

Wild Styrax is a resinous material obtained from Liquidambar styraciflua. Its scent is balsamic, warm and slightly smoky, with vanilla-like, leathery and ambery nuances reminiscent of ancient resins.

Highly valued in natural perfumery, it acts as a generous base note, adding depth, roundness and an enveloping feel to compositions. It is especially suited to oriental, woody and gourmand accords.

It blends with Benzoin, Vanilla, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Frankincense, Rose or Tonka to build dense, warm and long-lasting perfumes.
