Petitgrain Bigarade essential oil is obtained from the leaves and young twigs of the bitter orange tree. It is greener and sharper than orange blossom, while retaining a soft, slightly bitter floral facet.

Its fragrance combines leafy freshness, citrus nuances, a light woody touch and a discreet floral base. This complexity makes it very useful for bringing air and structure to a formula without making it overly sweet.

It fits naturally into relaxing compositions, cologne accords, room sprays and natural perfumes. It blends with neroli, true lavender, bergamot, geranium, rosewood, cedarwood and sweet marjoram.
