Pennyroyal

Pennyroyal essential oil, obtained from Mentha pulegium, has a minty, herbaceous, green and very pronounced aroma. It stands out through an old-fashioned, rustic and particularly intense aromatic personality.

This is a distinctive raw material, but it must be approached with great caution. Depending on its composition, it may contain powerful molecules such as pulegone, making it suitable only for very controlled uses and carefully managed formulations.

In natural perfumery or aromatic accords, it can bring a fresh, wild and vegetal note, always at very low dosage. It may blend with herbaceous, resinous or woody oils when a strongly minty accent is required.
