Organic Spanish Lavender essential oil, obtained from Lavandula stoechas L., has a profile very different from classic lavenders. Its scent is powerful, camphoraceous, herbaceous and sometimes slightly resinous, with an intensity that makes it immediately recognizable.
This Mediterranean lavender, known for its flower spikes topped with violet bracts, produces a characterful essential oil that is less floral and more technical than True Lavender. It is valued in targeted aromatic compositions where its wild vegetal strength adds structure and depth.
Traditionally used in aromatherapy, it should be approached as a powerful essential oil. It may be included in carefully controlled synergies, in very small amounts, when a marked camphoraceous, wild and aromatic note is desired.
It pairs with Rosemary, Bay Laurel, Cistus, Helichrysum, Cedarwood or Eucalyptus. Its use requires extra caution, as its aromatic profile may contain compounds that require strict guidance.
