Balsam of Wild Peru

Wild Peru Balsam is obtained from Myroxylon pereirae. It has a balsamic warm vanilla-like and slightly amber scent, highly valued in natural perfumery and comforting compositions.

Its olfactory richness recalls notes of benzoin, vanilla, resin and woody caramel. It brings a round gourmand and envelopingdimension to blends, ideal for creating deep and warm accords.

Traditionally used in perfumed preparations and selected care products, Peru Balsam is appreciated for its protective and comforting character. It must nevertheless be used carefully, as it may be sensitizing for some skin types.

It pairs perfectly with resinous woody spicy or floral notes such as Benzoin, Vanilla, Patchouli, Cedarwood, Frankincense, Cinnamon, Sweet Orange or Ylang-ylang. It brings warmth, lasting power and sensuality.
